Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. This policy explains what Secret Santa Link (https://secretsantalink.com), operated by Birim Web Ajans谋, collects and why.
What we collect
- Draw data you enter: group name, participant names, budget, date, organizer message, exclusions, and wishlists that participants write. Names are whatever you type; we ask you to use first names or nicknames only.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, time) kept for up to 30 days for security.
- Local storage: your browser remembers the organizer dashboards you created. This never leaves your device.
We do not ask for email addresses, phone numbers or accounts.
Who can see what
Anyone with the organizer link can see participant names, whether each link has been opened, and, if they choose to, the assignments. Anyone with a participant link can see that participant's name, the group details, the name of the person they drew and that person's wishlist. Links are long random codes and pages are marked so that search engines do not index them.
Retention
Draws are kept until the end of the following February and then deleted. You can ask us to delete a draw at any time by emailing the organizer link to aydin@birimajans.com.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads on content pages. Google and its partners may use cookies to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the EU/UK are shown a consent dialog before any advertising cookies are set. We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are popular; the data is aggregated.
Children
The site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has entered personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data about you. Because we do not hold accounts, the practical way to do this is to send us the game link. We respond within 30 days.
